Privacy Policy
Effective 1 October 2026. Applies to the app DogDays (in Swedish Hundår) for iPhone, iPad and Android, version 2.0 and later.
Who is responsible
The app is provided by PT Works AB, Sweden. Questions about this policy or about your data are answered at
What the app does
DogDays converts a dog's age into human years. You enter the dog's name, date of birth and breed, and may add a photo. The app requires no account, no sign-in and no registration.
Where your information is stored
Everything you enter – the dog's name, date of birth, breed and photo – is stored on your own device. We have no server that receives the information, and we cannot see it.
On iPhone and iPad: if you use iCloud, the information is also synced to your private iCloud storage with Apple, so it is kept if you change phones. We have no access to your iCloud.
On Android: if you have turned on Android backup, the information is included in your private backup with Google. We have no access to your backup.
No server, no log
The app sends no information to us. The breed list and the calculation are built into the app, so it works without an internet connection. We keep no log of how or when the app is used.
Reminders
Birthday and milestone reminders are created by the phone itself. They are not sent through us or through any other service.
Photos
Photos are chosen with your phone's own photo picker. The app only gets access to the picture you choose, not to the rest of your photo library. The picture is reduced in size and stored with the dog. If you choose to save a picture card, the app adds it to your pictures; it cannot read or change your other pictures.
Sharing
When you share a picture card, it is handed to the app you choose yourself, such as messages or email. What happens to the picture after that is governed by that app's terms.
Tips to us
If you send a tip about a missing breed, an email opens in your own email app. You see what is sent and decide whether to send it. We use your email address only to be able to reply.
Purchases
Purchases of Premium are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play. We never receive your name, email address or payment details. The stores may provide us with aggregated sales statistics that cannot be linked to you.
What we do not collect
The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, calendar, location or health data. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
Sharing with others
We do not sell, rent or share any information with anyone. Nor do we hold any information about you to share.
Children
The app collects no personal information, from children or adults.
Your rights
You are in control of your information. Delete a dog in the app, or uninstall the app, and the information is removed from the device. Information in iCloud is deleted under Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage. Backups with Google are managed in the phone's settings under Google → Backup.
Earlier versions of the app
Versions before 2.0, and the earlier apps Hundår Basic, DogDays Premium and DogDays Basic, loaded their content from our server. In those versions the dog's details are stored in a cookie on your device, and each use writes one line to an operational log containing the date and, in the paid versions, the name you gave the dog. The log contains no IP addresses and nothing that identifies you as a person. It is kept for 12 months and then deleted. Once you update to version 2.0, this no longer applies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is shown here and in the app with a new date. Changes that affect how information is handled take effect no earlier than 30 days after publication.
